The Children’s English-Pashto Dictionary is a pictorial dictionary containing hundreds of words in English and Pashto.
It is designed especially for the children of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, the range of vocabulary makes the dictionary of benefit for students of Pashto everywhere.
Wonderful photographs, drawn from the cities and villages of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the country of Pakistan, accompany the vocabulary.
The dictionary is crafted from the perspective of two fictional children: Sameer and his younger sister, Yasmin. Many of the pages contain a short story featuring these children and their family. These stories enable students to practice the vocabulary they have learned.
